Aerobic exercises Aerobic is a form of exercise. The word aerobic means requiring oxygen. Aerobic exercise makes the body demand more oxygen, which causes the heart and lungs to work harder in order to supply the needed oxygen to the muscles that are being exercised. Aerobic exercise is a great way to relieve stress. When the body is demanding oxygen, it releases stress reducing hormones, elevating the mood. Many psychologists will recommend that a patient who is struggling with high stress participate in aerobic exercise on a daily basis. The health benefits of aerobic exercise are many, and stress relief is just one of the many benefits of doing daily aerobic exercise. When starting an exercise program, it is good to aim for twenty to thirty minutes of aerobic exercise on a daily basis. This will give you the stress release you need, as well as the weight loss and health benefits you may be seeking. For more terms click here. |
