Biofeedback Treatment Biofeedback is a method of treatment that holistic doctors use to treat their patients. The doctors monitor the physiological feedback that a patient's body creates without the patient being aware. Holistic doctors can teach their patients to become aware of their own personal biofeedback, allowing them to monitor their own health and stress levels. For example, when a person's biofeedback is indicating that the patient is under undo stress, the person's heart rate will increase, they will begin sweating, and may have trouble breathing. When the person notices this happening, they can take a variety of measures to reduce the stress levels their body is experiencing. One thing that works well in response to stress indicating biofeedback is to do deep breathing and relaxation exercises. These types of exercises teach the body to return to the state it was experiencing before the stressful event occurred. Teaching a person how to relax on their own is one of the most valuable things a holistic doctor can do. For more terms click here. |
