Critical Incident Stress Management Critical Incident stress Management refers to a process that helps the affected person to come back to the normal state more quickly without experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder. In this process, the traumatized victim is allowed to talk about the incident to people those who work in mental health field. This was developed to help traumatized victims to cope up with the trauma that they experience in their everyday life. Critical incident risk can be caused to people like firefighters, police officials, soldiers, emergency medical service providers, victims etc The major goal of the critical incident stress management is to help people come back to their normal state. Generally critical incidents increase stress levels in a short span of time and the normality can be established only after adequate treatment.
