Extreme Burnout

Extreme burnout refers to a state of emotional apathy, restlessness and depression caused by prolonged exposure to stressful situations or due to lifestyle demands or imbalance in life style. If one fails to have control over his/her environment, he/she is at higher risk of burnout.

Similarly those who have to meet higher expectations at work place or home are also at increased risk of burnout. Those who are denied of rewards and recognitions that are due for them are more vulnerable to burnouts.

Of late, increasing number of cases of burnouts is being reported due to workplace place pressures. Present day work environments place high performance expectations on workers. In their penchant for high performance, the workers toil and strive relentlessly which leads to burnouts. Effective planning is the key to control burnout. Planning and following an appropriate lifestyle helps to cure burnout. Similarly taking adequate breaks between works and involving in leisurely pursuits are some of the ways out to burnouts.
