Self Hypnosis Self hypnosis refers to a practice where one hypnotizes themselves through auto -suggestions or simply using their thoughts. This is the best therapeutic method to cure stress. As for as stress management is concerned, hypnosis is used in two ways. They are used to relax the mind and also condition the mind to stick to a stress- reduction or some goal achievement plan. It helps the practitioner to overcome the negative habits or emotional constraints that causes stress. It promotes optimism and lifts the spirit of the practitioner. He can also stay goal-focused through proper practice of self hypnosis. The process of self -hypnosis involves bringing the mind to a completely relaxed state. Now the frame of mind is ready to accept the pre-determined suggestions. At this point, the practitioner should make auto suggestions that he would like to follow for bringing about a positive change in his life. In this way, the subconscious mind is trained to believe these suggestions.
