Stress Institute gets people back on track

How do you know if you have a problem dealing with stress and stressful situations in your daily life or in your job? Do you feel ill often? Do you get grumpy in busy stressful times and do you ever feel like you cannot cope? Sleeping problems and symptoms such as upset stomachs can be symptoms of stress related problems.

There may be help at hand for you. The Stress and Anger Management Institute (SAMI) is now organizing an Assertive Communication Workshop in the Hermosa Beach office on January 14, 2007. Additionally they are also holding one in their Beverly Hills office on January 27, 2007. Workshops such as these are specifically designed to help improve interaction between people in the business world and to help you cope with stressful situations at work as well as at home.

Communication skills and the ability to listen and relax are very important if you are prone to suffering from stress. By using the SAMI method, these workshops help you to identify problems in your behavior that may lead to misinterpret situations and respond to them in a stressful manner. The workshops will take place every month at the two locations.

These Assertive Communication Workshops are part of the Stress & Anger Management Institute's approach to dealing with stress and behavior. They have adopted an alternative approach to traditional therapy and have been very successful in their approach. There are different classes for couples, parents and employees.

In addition to this type of workshop there are many other possibilities to learn hot to cope with stress. There are online courses and workshops that you can follow (some of which are even free of charge) and you can speak to a professional counselor.
