New book recommends hormones to reduce stress and lose weight

We all know that stress can take its toll. Not only on our minds but also on our bodies. Losing weight rapidly or holding on to calories and gaining weight can both be symptoms of a body dealing with the effects of stress. According to a brain expert called Schulz the mental status of a woman is related to the emotional state, which means that during times of stress the mind and body may have trouble processing emotions. This can cause overeating and gaining weight is a result of that.

Fitness guru and writer Suzanne Somers is now suggesting hormone treatment for aging, losing weight and to prevent illness. The American Medical Association is looking into the facts stated by her in her new book called "Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones".

Promoting treatments with bioidentical hormones she states that hormone treatments can replace estrogen and progestin supplements ands top the aging process of the body. These treatments (according to the author) will also keep you smart, stress-free and physically fit. In the book she says that by simply replacing the hormones in the body that have been lost during our life we can prevent ourselves from getting ill as a result of stress or other factors such as obesity.

Taking hormones without the prescription of a doctor should always be avoided and maybe trying to reduce events and factors that make you feel stressed and losing weight with a diet is a better idea than taking hormones.
